We provide STD tests using the latest technology to identify widespread bacterial and viral STDs including oral and genital herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HPV and HIV.
We provide a quick, easy, affordable and anonymous way to know your status as quickly as possible after possible STD exposure. Once you pay for your test, you can swing by one of our testing centers anytime for a 5-minute test.
Your results will be available within 2-3 days. If you test positive, we offer optional follow-up consultation with a physician to discuss treatment options. Your billing statement will not mention STDs.
The timing is important when you are testing for STDs. Many STDs are undetectable for a certain length of time after infection. This period of time varies from one disease to the next. However, some STDs are not curable unless they are detected quickly. For this reason, we recommend getting an STD test after 2-3 weeks of possible exposure; and then getting a follow-up test after 3 months.
If you are concerned about potential HIV exposure in the last 30 days, we recommend taking our HIV RNA Advanced Detection test 2 weeks after possible infection for conclusive results.
These tests cannot be taken at home. In order to get accurate and reliable test results, samples must be collected at our testing centers and supervised by medical professionals.
You will be required to provide either a blood or urine sample depending on the variety of STDs you are testing for. Blood samples are taken by a phlebotomist. With urine samples, you will be given instructions on how to provide the sample in the privacy of a restroom.
You can access your results within 2-3 days of completing an STD test at one of our testing centers.
We accept all major credit cards, including prepaid debit cards and gift cards. We also accept PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo, personal checks, certified checks and money orders. Your bank statement will not show service descriptions related to STDs.
* Please note testing centers are unable to process payments.
If you receive your test results and they show that you are positive for any particular STD, we advise you to speak with one of our doctors about your treatment options. In many cases, the doctor will write a prescription so you can pick up the medication you need from a local pharmacy. If you have a more serious STD like HIV, we provide additional resources that may be helpful.
Advanced RNA HIV testing is the quickest HIV detection available worldwide. It is capable of detecting HIV within a week of infection, while standard HIV tests typically take 2-3+ weeks.
Once you have processed a payment on this website, you will be provided a Requisition Form which tells the testing center what kind of sample is required for the specific test you are taking. Additionally, we will provide you with a test code which confirms you have paid for the service.
You can drop by a testing center on the same day of payment, or whenever it is most convenient for you. If you would like to ensure the visit is as quick as possible, call the testing center ahead of time and make sure they do not expect to be busy at the time of your planned visit.

It is not necessary to set an appointment at your local testing center. However, if you would like your visit to be as quick as possible, make sure to give them a call ahead of time to be sure they are not busy when you plan on visiting.
The type of sample collected depends on the specific test ordered. Blood samples are typically used to test for HIV, syphilis, and viral hepatitis. Urine samples are commonly used to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. For detecting Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae infections in the throat (oral/pharyngeal), an oral swab may be collected.
We are legally obligated to keep your medical information private according to HIPAA laws. Beyond that, we have strict policies in place to protect your anonymity because of the sensitive nature of STDs. This is reflected across the LetsBeSafe organization from the general purpose labs used to collect samples, to our staff not knowing the reason for your visit, to the payment options we accept, to nondescript billing details, to leaving your medical record alone, and everything in between. This service is designed with your privacy in mind.
If you test positive for an STD, we offer optional consultations with a doctor. The purpose of these consultations is to provide you with all the information that you need to fully understand your disease. This includes explaining the various treatment options that are available to you. Additionally, one of our physicians may write a prescription so that you can pick up any required medication from a local pharmacy.
No, we do not accept insurance for payment. However, using insurance through your family doctor is likely to require a copayment that costs as much (or more) than what we charge for the same exact tests through LetsBeSafe.
We also help you avoid the hassle of explaining your lifestyle and sexual history to your doctor, and having your medical record permanently reflect your STD status.
Depending on when you arrive at a testing center, there may or may not be a small wait. You are free to call ahead of time to see if they are busy. Appointments are not necessary. When you show up to the testing center, you will not be asked any questions relating to STDs. Our testing centers collect samples for a wide variety of medical tests, and it is not necessary for the staff to know why you are having a sample collected. They will simply give you the instructions you need for a urine sample, or help draw blood, so that your sample can processed. The whole visit typically takes around five minutes.
No one at the testing center will know the reason for your visit. People come to the testing centers to have a variety of tests completed ranging from cholesterol testing and metabolic panels to drug tests and everything in between.
Medical personnel at the testing center will know what kind of sample is required (urine or blood), and they will give you the appropriate assistance to make sure they get the sample they need to process your test.
After your payment is processed online and you receive your test code, you are free to visit a testing center anytime at your convenience. For inquiries regarding opening and closing hours, please call the location you plan on visiting.
